Preparing for the Opening Ceremony, Featuring the Honorable Mike Pence, Vice President of the United States

The Honorable Mike Pence, Vice President of the United States, will be addressing Congress attendees at the conclusion of the Opening Ceremony. In preparation, you are strongly encouraged to arrive EARLY to get through security and to your seats. We recommend giving yourself additional time to get to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center as certain roads may be closed to accommodate the Vice President’s address.

All weapons, mace, pocket knives, aerosol spray, selfie sticks, tripods, umbrellas with metal tips, large bags or backpacks, and outside food or beverages will not be permitted inside the convention center.* Attendees are permitted to bring cameras, provided that they are for personal use only. Cameras with a lens longer than eight (8) inches may not be brought into the Congress, except by credentialed media.

Registration will be open from 1300–1800 hrs on Saturday, 0800–1800 hrs on Sunday and will open at 0600 hrs on Monday. Get your credential EARLY! Grand Ballrooms ABC, where the Opening Ceremony will take place will open at 0700 hrs on Monday morning.

There is a coat check available next to registration for $5 per item, cash or credit only. The coat check will be open for the duration of the Congress during registration and Opening Reception hours.
