FX’s ‘Justified: City Primeval’ Release Date Announced, Teaser Revealed!

The new series Justified: City Primeval will debut on FX and stream on Hulu in the United States on July 18, 2023, according to an announcement from FX.

Raylan Givens, a walking anachronist who moved away from the Kentucky hollers 15 years ago, now resides in Miami while juggling his roles as a U.S. Marshal and a part-time parent to a girl who is 15 years old.

The road in front of him suddenly appears to be far shorter than the one behind, and he has grayer hair and a filthy hat. He travels to Detroit after a fortuitous encounter on a lonely Florida roadway.

There he meets Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a vicious, psychopathic desperado who has eluded Detroit’s best before and intends to do so once more.

The tough Carolyn Wilder, a native of Motor City, who is Mansell’s attorney, is determined to defend her client even though she is caught between a police officer and a criminal who is also playing a game. In typical Elmore Leonard form, these three people set out on a collision course to discover who survives the City Primeval.

Along with Vivian Olyphant and Ravi Patel, other actors include Aunjanue Ellis (King Richard), Boyd Holbrook (The Premise), Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby), Vondie Curtis Hall (Harriet), Marin Ireland (Y: The Last Man), Norbert Leo Butz (Bloodline), Victor Williams (The Good Lord Bird), and Aunjanue Ellis (King Richard).

Along with the original creator Graham Yost, writers Dave Andron and Michael Dinner, and Olyphant will serve as executive producers. The show will be directed by dinner.

Along with writing for the show, Peter Leonard, Taylor Elmore, Chris Provenzano, Sarah Timberman, and Carl Beverly serve as executive producers. Other writers include V.J. Boyd, Eisa Davis, and Ingrid Escajeda. Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions are the series’ producers.

A release date has not yet been disclosed, but the series will eventually stream internationally on Disney+.
