Personal Life
On March 14, 1960, Bob wed singer/actress LuLu Porter, and on October 15, 1959, their son Robert (also known as “Robin”) was born. Robin grew up to become a makeup artist, but he tragically died in 1993 of an AIDS-related illness. Bob began dating Ray Aghayan around the time that Mackie and Porter divorced in 1963, and they remained together until Ray’s demise from a heart attack in 2011.
