The Fresh Prince still rules over Bel-Air. Peacock revived Bel-Air for a third season just a few weeks into the show’s second season. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, a dramatization of the popular 1990s sitcom, is one of the most-watched original shows on the streaming service.
It is now the first written show on the service to get a third-season order. On March 17, the group confirmed the news in an Instagram video where they all held up three fingers to show how excited they were.
“Working on [Bel-Air] for the past two years has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I’ve learned so much about myself, and I can’t thank you all enough for your help!”
Will’s actor, Jabari Banks, wrote the description for his post. “So much love has gone into this project. So much of ourselves has gone into this project. Really, guys, I can’t wait for season 3!”
Will’s basketball game reached new heights in the second season of Bel-Air, in part because Doc Hightower (Brooklyn McLinn) helped him out early on. But Banks wants to learn more about who he is as a person away from the court.
He recently told Collider, “I want to see who Will is outside of basketball.” “If you take that away and peel back the layers of who he says he is on the outside, who is he really?” This season, we get to see him tied to basketball in a big way, but if that’s taken away, what’s left?
That’s something I’m looking forward to.”
Season 3 of The Bel-Air Cast
Even though there haven’t been any casting announcements yet, Banks will be back with Adrian Holmes as Philip “Uncle Phil” Banks, Cassandra Freeman as Vivian “Aunt Viv” Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola as Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones as Jazz, and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa Wilkes.
Tatyana Ali, who played Ashley Banks on the original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, came back as a teacher named Ms. Hughes. Daphne Maxwell Reid, who played the second Aunt Viv on the NBC show, also came back as a guest star in the second season of the reboot.
Carla Banks-Waddles, who is in charge of the show, says that more OGs could come back in the future if it makes sense. “We love to use the original cast in this remake, but we don’t want them to feel forced or stuck in.
It feels so natural because Tatyana’s role as Ms. Hughes affects everyone in the Banks family and the Bel-Air Academy family, she told Boardroom in March.
“It was so beautiful on so many levels to see OG Ashley, current Ashley, Tatyana, and Akira all in the same scene and fist-bumping each other. She added so much to the show and to the way things were going that it just felt special.”

Possible Date for Season 3 of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”
The first two seasons of the show came out in February, so it seems likely that Season 3 of Bel-Air will also start streaming in February 2024.
What To Expect in The New Season Of Bel-Air?
There’s no doubt that the next season will pick up right where the last one left off. In the last episode, viewers saw the Banks family come together for the announcement of the Founder’s Award and Will embrace going forward in an unexpected way.
The plot finished on a big note, so the story can pick up right where it left off without any unnecessary time jumps that would take the story in a different direction, which it really doesn’t need at this point in the show.
We’ll have to wait for the summary of the third season, which will come out later, to get the full story. To be honest, not much has been said about the third season.
However, as we are about to start the third season, Sholotan talked about Carlton’s future in an exclusive chat with thedailybeast.com. He said that, even though Carlton is very involved with drugs and drinking, he has never imagined anything bad happening to him.
“At the end of the day, it’s about telling the story,” he says. “And I know that whatever the writers decide, I can trust them to tell a great story. So I’m ready to put my life and the life of my character in their hands. “Thank you for giving me this fear, too,” he says with a laugh.
Sholotan also said that he’s happy to see Carlton “in recovery.” He doesn’t have many clear goals for his character, other than getting rid of his classmate Connor, who was on the famous N-word tape that went around the school this season.
“Get him away from Connor,” Sholoton says quickly. “Please, bro. I really like Tyler Barnhardt, who plays Connor on screen. He’s wonderful. But take Carlton away from Connor as soon as possible.”
Here are the main actors who are likely to play the same parts again: Will Smith is played by Jabari Banks, Vivian Banks is played by Cassandra Freeman, Geoffrey Thompson is played by Jimmy Akingbola, Carlton Banks is played by Olly Sholotan, Hilary Banks is played by Coco Jones, Ashley Banks is played by Akira Akbar, Lisa Wilkes is played by Simone Joy Jones, Jazz is played by Jordan L. Jones, and Philip Banks is played by Adrian Holmes.
Tatyana Ali, who played Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, is set to be a recurring character as an English literature teacher. Carla Banks Waddles is on the team, and she is in charge of making the series.
Executive producers are Morgan Cooper, Anthony Sparks, Malcolm Spellman, Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Benny Medina, Quincy Jones, Andy and Susan Borowitz, TJ Brady, and Rasheed Newson. The show is made by Westbrook Studios and Universal Television, which is a part of Universal Studio Group.
“We love to use the original cast in this remake, but we don’t want them to feel forced or stuck in. It feels so natural because Tatyana’s role as Ms. Hughes affects everyone in the Banks family and the Bel-Air Academy family, she said in the March issue of Boardroom.
Further, she said, “It was so beautiful on so many levels to see OG Ashley, modern Ashley, Tatyana, and Akira all in the same scene and fist-bumping each other. She added so much to the show and to the way things were going that it just felt special.”
Just like the last two seasons, the next season is likely to have ten shows that run for an average of 40–60 minutes each. This could change if the network wants to make a bigger season, but that will be decided later.
In addition, the show is only available on Peacock. Previous episodes and some other shows in the same genre can also be watched on the streaming platform, which has different membership choices based on where viewers are and what they like.
