After one season, Alaska Daily has been canceled by ABC. The news is not shocking considering Deadline reports that the freshman series failed to establish itself and garner a big audience.
As Eileen Fitzgerald, a fiercely talented and award-winning investigative journalist who leaves her high-profile New York life behind after a fall from grace to join a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage on a quest to find both personal and professional redemption, Hilary Swank is portrayed in Tom McCarthy’s Alaska Daily.
Jeff Perry plays Stanley Cornik in Alaska Daily, Matt Malloy plays Bob Young, Meredith Holzman plays Claire Muncy, Grace Dove plays Rosalind Roz Friendly, Pablo Castelblanco plays Gabriel Tovar, Ami Park plays Yuna Park, and Craig Frank plays Austin Teague. They all co-star with Swank.

Executive producer and creator McCarthy. Executive producers on the project include Swank, Melissa Wells, Bert Salke, Ryan Binkley of the Anchorage Daily News, Kyle Hopkins of the Anchorage Daily News, and Peter Elkoff, who will also serve as the showrunner. 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios, produces Alaska Daily.
